Karl Kenneth House

Karl Kenneth House, 93, of Du Quoin, passed away at 9:55 A.M., Sunday, January 11, 2004 at the Fair Acres Nursing Home in Du Quoin.
Kenneth had owned and operated House's Ideal Cleaners for forty years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Du Quoin, Du Quoin VFW Post 513, Du Quoin American Legion Post 647, Du Quoin Lions and Du Quoin Elks. He was a US Army veteran of W.W. II serving as an air evacuation medical technician.
He was born January 8, 1911 at Du Quoin, IL the son of Karl and Ethel (Eaton) House.
He married Mattie C. (Cleo) Thornton on March 5, 1938 at Du Quoin. She passed away July 23, 2001.
He is survived by a daughter-in-law- Shelley House of Du Quoin, grandson- Tighe House of Du Quoin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and son Butch House.
Funeral services were at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Bob Dickerson officiating.
Friends called from Noon till 2 P.M. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Interment was in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
